GENERAL INFORMATION

The participation fee is 120€ for students and 220€ for seniors. This fee will be paid according to instructions you receive by email after your registration.The deadline for the payment is strict, so please make sure that you make the payment on time! This fee will cover accommodation, program, transportation in the location and meals throughout the meeting. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us!

REGISTRATION / WAITING LIST

The time window for registering will be open according to the dates indicated above. In order to allow participants from a wide range of universities a maximum of 5 participants per university will be accepted. Participants registering afterwards will be put on a waiting list.

Accepted participants will be asked to transfer the participation fee until the Payment Deadline indicated above. After the Payment Deadline, unpaid registrations will be revoked and their positions opened for participants on the waiting list.

CHECK-IN AND ACCOMMODATION

The check-in will be open from 12:00 to 18:00 on Monday 1st June. Please inform us if you are arriving outside this time frame. Please remember to have your QR-code ready – it makes our work much simpler and gets you checked in much faster!

The accommodation is arranged in a school building. There will be showers and toilets in the same building. You need to bring your own sleeping bags and sleeping mats with you because you will be sleeping on the floor. There is a free wifi available at the school. Remember that it is prohibited to have shoes on in the school building. If you wish, you can consider taking some shoes to wear only inside the school building. Toilet paper will be provided.

POSTERS AND PRESENTATIONS

As in previous years, participants are invited to give a presentation or present a poster. This year we have a special treat for you – the posters and presentations will be assessed by a professional jury! The jury will consist of experts of their field: Kirsi Virrantaus (geoinformatics), Martin Vermeer (geodesy) and Henrik Haggrén (photogrammetry), all of them professors at the Department of Real Estate, Planning and Geoinformatics. In addition, people’s favorites will be chosen by the participants!

Remember that your poster should be A1 sized, either portrait or landscape, and we kindly ask to print your poster before you arrive.

The presentation shouldn’t exceed 15 minutes. Please take your presentation slides with you (USB stick etc.).

SPORTS DAY

 

The sports event will be arranged outdoors.

INTERNATIONAL EVENING

Following the tradition of previous years we will also have an international evening. During this event everyone will be able to present their traditional cuisine and share these with other participants of the meeting. For that purpose we kindly ask you to bring along some traditional food and drink from your home country.

Please inform us beforehand if you will require special handling/preparations for the international evening.

GRAND BALL

Grand Ball is our last night of this organization. This will be a formal event and the dress code is black tie.

CHECK-OUT

The check-out has to be done by 12:00 on Sat 6th.
